KolkuPlata

About

KolkuPlata is a net-pay calculator for North Macedonia, for anyone working here or weighing up a move. Every figure traces to an official source, with the date it was last checked.

What KolkuPlata does

KolkuPlata is a net-pay calculator for North Macedonia. It answers one everyday question as clearly as possible: for a given gross salary, how much actually lands in the account, and where does the rest go? It is built for anyone who reads a contract in gross and wants to understand the net — employees comparing offers, people weighing a move, or anyone who simply wants the breakdown behind the number. Enter a gross figure in the calculator and it shows the take-home net, the itemised contributions and the flat income tax, side by side.

The method: the gross-salary system

The calculation follows the North Macedonian gross-salary model (систем на бруто плата). Starting from the monthly gross, the employee’s social contributions are deducted first — all of them borne by the employee, with no employer layer above gross, so the total employer cost equals the gross salary. Then the personal allowance is subtracted to reach the tax base, and the flat income tax of 10% is applied to it. What remains is the net. Every figure on the site is interpolated from a single rate dataset, so the calculator, the explainer pages and the breakdown all read from the same source and cannot drift apart.

The sources it is built on

The rates and amounts are drawn from the primary authorities: the Public Revenue Office (Управа за јавни приходи, УЈП) for the contribution rates, the contribution base bounds and the personal allowance; the State Statistical Office (Државен завод за статистика, ДЗС) for the average-wage context figures; and the official gazette (Службен весник) for the minimum wage and the mid-year contribution change. Each value carries its own citation and effective period, and where a figure rests on a paraphrase rather than a directly fetched primary — as with the mid-2026 contribution split — that is flagged honestly rather than smoothed over.

Where the figures stand

Every rate traces to a primary source, with its citation attached. Two limits go with that: if a rule changed recently it may not be reflected here yet, and nobody has signed the figures off. For an official amount the cited source governs, or the payroll calculation your employer produces. The result the calculator shows is an estimate in any case, because it cannot know your own circumstances. When a value changes, the page updates itself, because the prose reads the number from the dataset rather than repeating it. If you believe a figure is wrong, the contact page explains how to send a correction with its source.

Privacy and measurement

The site has no forms and stores no data about you on a server — the figures you enter stay on your device. Google Analytics 4 runs for usage statistics, but consent for storage is denied by default for every visitor, wherever they are: no analytics cookie is set, and there is no consent banner. A cookieless ping still goes to Google carrying your IP address, and an IP address is personal data — so we do not write that the measurement is anonymous. There are no advertising cookies and no ads. The privacy and cookies pages spell this out.
